And he's been asked to join the League -- the very organization of superheroes that disowned Hal. But joining the League opens up a new world to Thom. There, he connects with a misfit group of aspiring heroes:

"* 'Wow! This totally original, can't-put-it-down page turner is more than a terrific read, it's an unforgettable experience-not to be missed!' - Stan Lee * 'Perry Moore brings an enticing new genre to the world of young adult novels.' - Maurice Sendak * 'Heroes come in many varieties. The newest, very likely unprecedented, is from the multi-talented Perry Moore. Truly a groundbreaking novel, its dedication reads: For Everyone. And indeed it is.' - Lloyd Alexander * 'Hero isn't your average coming-of-age novel. And Thom Creed isn't your average hero. Perry Moore's genre-busting tale of a teenager with human emotions and superhuman powers is a true original.
