Performer Jane Clifton - child of an English army officer and a very badly behaved daughter of the British Raj - grew up perpetually on the move as the family followed her father's postings around the world. Eventually the Cliftons reached Melbourne. It was the wild Sixties and Jane was in the thick of it - anti-war demos, women's lib protests, experimental theatre groups and rock and roll. She carried on the family's roving tradition, changing addresses without so much as a backward glance.
